Q: ARE YOU A NATURAL BLONDE?

A: That's your first question? What about my brains? My wonderful personality?! Sigh... Yes, it is natural. More of a strawberry blonde, although it gets very light in the summer. In the past I've colored it dark red and even black (see photos) but now think that natural is best.

Q: WHEN DID YOU FIRST DREAM UP THE CONCEPT OF "BRAINY BLONDE"?

A: I registered the name back in 2000, though I didn't put the site up until early 2004. Can you say "procrastinate"?

Q: DO YOU REALLY WEAR GLASSES?

A: Yes I do, and they are prescription but I don't wear them all the time.

Q: ARE THESE PICTURES ON THE FREE SITE REALLY OF YOU?

A: Yes. Every single one of them is of me. I just have many different looks.

Q: DO YOU RUN THIS SITE YOURSELF OR IS THIS SOME KIND OF COMPANY?

A: I run the site completely on my own. It's just me, myself and I.

Q: ARE YOU LIKE, A COMPUTER GENIUS OR SOMETHING?

A: No, I'm not a computer genius, but I do spend much of my time (too much!) working with computers.

Q: DO YOU SMOKE? DRINK? ARE YOU A HEALTH NUT?

A: I've never smoked and I drink very little. I'm very health conscious with what I put in my body. I don't do drugs (not even aspirin!) but am very into natural homeopathic remedies and herbs. Yes I guess you could call me a health nut!

Q: ARE YOU A VEGETARIAN?

A: Yes, but not a vegan. I still haven't kicked the dairy products. ;)

Q: HOW TALL ARE YOU? HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? DESCRIBE YOURSELF!

A: Back to the looks again? I'm 5'9, about a buck thirty, blonde (but we've been through that) with blue eyes and fair, peaches-and-cream skin. I stay in shape with yoga and cardiovascular exercise every day.

Q: ARE YOU REALLY "ALL NATURAL"? WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

A: Yes, I am all natural. That means I don't believe in implants, whether collagen, saline or silicone -- none of that for me. I've never even had braces! I got lucky with my teeth. I believe in keeping my face and body young through exercise and proper nutrition.

Q: WHAT'S YOUR BEST FEATURE?

A: Hmmmmm, I'd have to say my skin. I take good care of it, moisturizing it daily and wearing sunscreen.

Q: WHAT'S YOUR LEAST FAVORITE FEATURE?

A: Ironically, it's my hair. My friend tells me she envies my hair, but it's baby fine blonde and slides right through my hands. I wish I had thick wavy hair, but then we always want what we don't have.

Q: ISN'T "BRAINY BLONDE" A BIT OF AN OXYMORON?

A: Oooh what, big words you use. ;) Not at all. I've had people stereotype me my whole life because I'm tall and blonde and have what I suppose are classic good looks. Many people in our society have associated the hair color blonde with a lack of intelligence, and it just isn't true!

Q: UH, HAVE YOU EVER BEEN ARRESTED?

A: Arrested? Nope, never been arrested! (knock on wood) This site is totally legal. I'm at least 21 years of age physically and getting there mentally. ;)

Q: IS IT TRUE YOU'RE DATING THAT GUY IN THE COMMERCIALS THAT SAYS "CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW?"

A: No! I don't know how this rumor got started, but I'm not dating him nor have I ever met the man!

Q: DO YOU STILL MODEL? WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?

A: Yes, I still model occasionally. I've done runway, fashion magazines editorials and ads, billboards, and commercials for many products and clothing lines. You can see tons of photos in the members' section.

Q: ARE YOU REALLY A GEEK?

A: Well it depends. If I were to go with Webster's definition, "a carnival performer whose show consists of bizarre acts, such as biting the head off a live chicken," then no, I wouldn't be a geek. ;) But, if I were to go with their second definition, "a person who is single-minded or accomplished in scientific or technical pursuits but is felt to be socially inept," I'd have to say that I fit that description to some degree.

Q: WHAT ARE A FEW OF YOUR FAVORITE THINGS?

A: Besides raindrops on roses I do love studying quantum physics, going to a good indie music show, going a few blocks to the beach and learning how to surf!, working on my spanish, playing my keyboards and guitar, NPR, raw foods craze, reading, doing UFO research and lots of other geeky stuff.

FAVORITE PEOPLE?

Einstein and Jack LaLanne. The perfect combo.

Q: DO YOU HAVE ANY STRONG DISLIKES?

A: Besides Michael Bolton (anyone who is found guilty of copyright infringement for copying someone else's material (namely the Isley Brothers) and then blasting the jury for siding with the brothers because they were predominately black needs to be sent off to a deserted island with his warped mind and boring uninspiring rip off music). Yes that sums it up pretty well.

Q: ARE YOU MARRIED?

A: No never married. I mentioned that up above.

Q: YOU WANT TO GET MARRIED?

A: Yes some day.

Q: HOW ABOUT NOW?

A: No thanks.

Q: DO YOU HAVE KIDS?

A: No, not yet.

Q: WHAT CELEBRITIES MIGHT YOU RESEMBLE?

A: Wow, we're all over the place aren't we? Well, I've been told so many blonde actresses/models I can't keep track but the ones I hear the most are probably Victoria's Secret model Daniella Pestova, Robin Wright Penn, Claudia Schiffer and Gwyneth Paltrow (but I don't see any resemblance to the last two, especially) and someone did tell me Kirsten Dunst lately, but I don't see that either!

Q: WILL YOU BE DOING ANY PUBLIC APPEARANCES AS BRAINY BLONDE?

A: There may be some upcoming events like a comic book or sci fi convention where I would be there for photos and autographs. Kind of cheesy, but if the members are interested, I'd do that.

Q: SO IF I JOIN WHAT AM I GOING TO GET ON THIS SITE?

A: More than you bargained for! There are over one thousand photos in the picture gallery and it is growing steadily! There will be weekly chats with yours truly.
